A dummies Guide to Finding Cheap Watches for Women

You can easily find watches that cost less than $10 a piece, but as you and I both know, they're rubbish. They don’t have the looks and neither do they have the quality. They are the type of watches that either stop working after a month or two, or you end up throwing them out because they constantly lose or gain time.

To be fair though, I did own a cheap digital Casio watch many years ago and it was virtually indestructible. In fact, I can't even recall ever having to change the battery, but of course as far as watches go; it really was nothing to look at. Nonetheless, it kept perfect time, and it even survived a few unintended warm washes in our washing machine.

Anyway, let's get back to finding cheap watches for women that you can actually wear with pride, and ones which you can also definitely rely on. Of course, everyone has their own interpretation of the word cheap. A watch which is cheap by your standards might not be cheap for me. However, since we are talking about watches that are of a good quality, let’s set the bar at $100.

I'm sure you will agree that a $100 watch is not an expensive watch considering that many people wear watches costing ten times as much. In fact, many people would argue that it is impossible to get a good watch for under $100, but I'm here to guarantee you that you can.

With $100 to spend, I can go right now and buy practically any type of watch I want, including but not limited to:

  • Digital watches

  • Analog watches

  • Automatic watches

  • Mechanically driven watches

  • Solar powered watches

  • Diving watches

Obviously you aren't going to find a Rolex; a Breitling, or even a Tag Heuer for under $100 but you will find many other famous brands, including ones like:

  • Seiko

  • Orient

  • Citizen

  • Invicta

  • Timex

  • Fossil

  • Hamilton

  • Dolce & Gabbana

The above list goes on and on, and there is just no way I can mention every famous brand with watches under $100 in this short article. Anyway, I'm sure you get the idea. Right, let's take a look at how you can get your hands on a really awesome timepiece that costs a fraction of what you would most likely pay at a local jewelry store.

The Beauty of Online Shopping

Well there you go; I've just given you the answer. The secret for finding good quality cheap watches is the internet. Regular brick and mortar stores simply cannot compete with online retailers who literally have tens of thousands of watches in stock at any given time. These massive retailers don't need to make a huge amount of profit from every watch they sell because they are selling hundreds, if not thousands of watches every day.

Online auction sites, and especially the biggest one (you which one I mean) were once great places for finding knockout deals, but those days are long gone. Some of the really big online merchants may of course have a presence on auction sites and other third party sites, but their prices will be higher than those on their own sites because they will need to recover their selling fees.

As is always the case when shopping online, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with a particular company before you order a watch from them. Always make sure you understand their terms and conditions, including things like warranties. Also check out their policy regarding items that get returned. As a general rule however, shopping online these days is nothing like it was several years ago. There is not nearly as much risk now as there was back then, and this is why online shopping has become so incredibly popular. You can find some help here.
